OHNNG is a national organisation that provides educational opportunities, collaboration and a resource for all nurses & allied health professionals working in the specialty of Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck surgery. Membership is opened to all health professionals with an interest in Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck patient care.
Mission Statement: It is the mission of OHNNG to promote excellence in Otorhinolaryngology Head & Neck Nursing (ORL H&N) & Patient care. It strives to achieve this by acting as a resource and link to all ORL H&N nurses irrespective of their geographical location or area of practice.
OHNNG facilitates the development and dissemination of research and resources in collaboration with all medical and allied health staff, which contributes to the advances in Otorhinolaryngology Head & Neck Nursing.
Membership also provides scholarships and discounts on registration to educational sessions, annual conferences, surgical scientific meetings and seminars, both locally, nationally and internationally.
We have active chapters in all states & territories with our membership reaching New Zealand, USA & UK. OHNNG is also affiliated with the American ORL H&N group “SOHN”. Each year the state coordinators are responsible for running several clinical meetings, information sessions, study days and ENT focused events. OHNNG holds a National Conference, which runs for three to four days concurrently with the surgical scientific, meeting ASOHNS (Australian Society Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgeons) annually around Australia. This is usually held in March or April each year.
OHNNG currently has over 350 financial members based in all states and territories of Australia and New Zealand.
